If the crown weighs 214.5 oz and displaces 10 oz of water, then its specific gravity is 21.45

Pure gold's specific gravity is 19.32, so...

The crown is almost entirely platinum(!) which has a specific gravity of 21.5

Man, did that goldsmith get screwed!
