I currently have Bank of America and I need a check book. I need to get direct deposit for my job, and I need a checkbook to mail in payments and to have certain payments through the internet to get automatically taken out of my checking.

I went on a website and they wanted to charge me like 29 dollars for a book of checks, that's fine.. but I'm a college student, I need checks, but can't afford to spend 29 plus taxes on it!!

Is there anywhere I can go to get CHEAPER checks, or free???? Thanks

Contact, your bank branch and make sure the a/c you opened is a check a/c. If so, ask them for a book of checks and paying-in slips. They are free and the the bank should have given them to you when you opened your a/c.

you won't get them for free and you do need a checking account at your bank. Try checks unlimited. You send them your account number and info and can get a small amount of checks for a low fee.

You did not get any when you opened the account????

Try going to any B of A Branch and see what they say.

Try this place:

www.ChecksUnlimited.com

They gave me good prices. Just get basic checks, like "safety paper".
