Mariah without a doubt.Shakira needs a wash and a touch of class before she can even be compared to Mariah.

Shakira wins hands down every time. She is a natural woman, performs all her songs with such feeling and does not need to rely on anything other than her abilities to sing and dance to sell her music.
Mariah used to be good when she first started out but she got swept up by it all and became a manufactured star after a couple of years. Such a pity!

Shakira by a looooooong way.
sure Mariah's voice can span a whole octave (or is it two) but she uses it in the most annoying way. Her songs have less substance than a Mills and Boon novel and, whilst i admit to never having met her, she comes across as a stuck up hussy.
Shakira on the other hand has got a fab voice and is able to actually sing, conveying real emotion. Her songs arn't all the same, having some depth to them and in interviews and such she comes off as realy quite a lovely person

Mariah is old skool, she's brilliant i dont think shakira's voice is as good as Mariah either, she really hits those high notes well.
o jesus i just admited im a closet mariah fan! what on earth are the boys down the pub gonna say if they get wind of this!

There is no comparison. Shakira is beautiful, intelligent, classy, multitalented, and a humanitarian.
Mariah is none of those things. In the 80's, she used to have all the respect in the world; but she threw it away to become a slutty, trashy, plastic whore.
