Although Tiswas was fun, Swap Shop seems to hold fonder memories: somone was always trying to swap a knackered old action man for the latest evil kenivel, cheggers was out on tour, john craven wore the daftest jumpers, and noel giggled at everything. Most of all, I have the memory of Mull of Kintyre being number 1 for weeks on end - and it was always played while they showed the list of things wanted to be swapped. I also remember a funny old cartoon about a family who got sucked down a whirlpool and landed up in pre-historic times. Did Swap Shop have Battle of the Planets at some point. Memory starts to go hazy. What do you reckon?

Tiswas every time. I still dream of Sally James in the sort of outfits she wore on the show and stars like Lenny Henry and Chris Tarrant would not have become such household names without it.
Where was Swapshop's Phantom Flanflinger or Bucketeers?

The BBC couldn't find an answer to Spit the Dog until the days of Gordon the Gopher

Tiswas was far superior and much funnier, if aimed at a slightly older audience than Swap Shop.
