Do i need to know much of algebra 2 for trigonometry?

yes, because algebra is used in so many other areas in math, that i wouldnt be surprised if you had to know a lot of algebra

Wellit helps but you need just a basic understanding of algebra 2 to move into trig..

Algebra 1 is sufficient for trig, but if you're going to get trig, you better get those identities down pat. You're sure going to need them in college!

One thing I was asked in College Trigonometry was composite Functions and I didn't remember them.

In trigonometry I drew scale drawings of my homework problems and looked at them.

yes, you'll be dealing with much more complex statements, sums and series in trig. all trig functions can be defined by infinite sums. Plus the practice of just working with the equations will help you a lot too.
