i have 2 plants that use to be in a very dirty aquarium. parts of it are rotting and i removed it from the tank and put it in a bottle for a couple of days if i cut off the rotting places and rinse it will i be able to put it back into a new cleaner tank without it causing the fishes to die or the water to get dirty?

I think the answer to your question would depend on what types of plants you have. If it's a "stem" plant like elodea/anacharis/egeria that doesn't root into the gravel that much, it's common for the older portions of the stem to die, so cutting these off and putting them back shouldn't be a problem. If it's a plant that grows from a "bulb", it should be okay if only the leaves were dying. If the "bulb" of the plant has started to rot, chances are good that it may continue to do so. These should either be discarded, or put into a separate container to see if any growth continues/appears.

The fish will be fine, unless there were diseased fish in the other tank. If it was just really dirty, there's really nothing to worry about.

if you have a small fish like gupes they may die but i thank it will be all right to put it in the tank.

If i were you I wouldnt put it back in the tank at all, just buy new ones.
