Right, I saw this question:

http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Apvpec6cG3SpIMEP_U4zvM0gBgx.?qid=20070831133345AANd9va&show=7#profile-info-03ae93bd3f108159177f955632d6bc8baa

and I ahve a follow up question:

You're a director and you can direct ANY adaption you like (could be a film remake, a film adaption of a book, a comic book hero), which project would you do and why?

For me, it would be directing a Stephen King novel just to get it perfect for the screen (IMO not many SK adaptions do the book justice) or "1984" by George Orwell (one of my fav novels)

In relation to Tribbles23's response, yes I do know of the film version of 1984 (as well as the 1950s version starring Peter Cushing). The John Hurt version is brill (not seen Cushing version) but Id do it anyway because I think its a cool book and even after 50 years, we can all relate to it and it's still as chilling as ever!

There was a brilliant movie version of the novel "1984" starring the English actor John Hurt.
You were right on 1984. It is one of my favorite novels too.
The last sentence of the book had me crying for 2 hours straight when I first read it.
"War is Peace"
"Freedom is Slavery"
Ignorance is Strength"
Have you seen the movie too? Its actually done very well.
I would have loved to direct "IT" by Stephen King.
That book had me so scared of Clowns and to this day I still have a fear!
There was a movie out for it at the time but it was more TV style movie and I would love to direct it and give the audience a real insight to it as a person who was freaked out herself so much to this day!
Thanks for the question!
I totally agree.

I would direct the film adaptation of my travel journals
that are so full of unbelievable experiences that it
would be fantastic to relive them through the magic
of film. I could live it all over again and also have a
chance to see others enjoying what I was lucky to
have..through acting and location work. Think I might
just do that.
