Why should I take someone and pay twice when I can go alone and only pay one price? When my wife goes to Missouri and I stay here, I go to restaurants she doesn't enjoy going to. I'm 60, why should I give a rat's behind what people think of me eating alone? I'm not THAT screwed up that I wouldn't eat alone. What is wrong with eating alone in a restaurant? Anyone who has a problem about people eating alone in a restaurant HAS a serious problem and should worry about THEMSELVES for a change. Lotsa nuts out there!

Sure I do it often. I do not see any reason not to. Many times I will take the paper or maybe a book, but most of the time I am there to eat and that is what I do.

I never, ever ever eat at a restaurant alone. I never will. I would rather get it to go and eat in my car if I have to. Its funny you ask this, me and my best friend talk about this all of the time. She won't do it either.

No not really, I usually bring the newspaper with me and pretend I am waiting for someone, lucky for me I do not have that problem too much, because I am married to a very caring beautiful wife...

no lol i need friends or family to go with me, i am a people person, i luv being around people and talking. then again, i am 16, but maybe when i'm older, that will change and i can go by myself.

Yep and I don't find that to be strange or anything. Normally I would have a book with me to keep me company until my meal arrives.
