My doctor prescribed me low estrogen 24 and I've been taking it for a little less than a week now. I've been getting intensely dizzy and the dizziness is making me nauseas...I called the office the first day after I took it to tell them it was making me dizzy. They said that was normal, but it's since gotten worse--keep taking it? Is this normal?

you would not believe the nausea i felt the first week i started my birth control. listen, even though it says you can take it with or without food, i think.. eat something right before you take it. and drink it with water. i think that helps. i still get a little dizzy, but it will definitely go away within the next week.

The nauseau can be normal with the pill when starting out but if you are taking the medication during the day try changing the time to at night like around dinner time to see if that helps.

As for the dizziness while on the pill that isn't normal. I would recommend talking to your primary care physician about this issue. I had this happen to me when I was in my mid 20s and I thought it was related to the pill but it turned out that what I really had was an inner ear virus.

Please talk to your primary care physician because it's possible that something else is going on at the same time making it seem like it's the pill causing the dizziness.
