A cop sitting in a bathroom stall watching and listening to innocent people do their business, waiting to arrest someone whose feet move in the stall next to them, that's great - - - -

but wiretapping foreign radical mullahs' phonecalls into the US to make sure they're not giving the green light to blow up Sears Tower, THAT'S fascism?????

It's not "wiretapping American citizens" - they were wiretapping foreigners and not stopping wiretapping them when they made calls into the US - - - they didn't know who was going to pick up the phone....

Aviator a warrant isn't needed to wiretap a foreigner and if he happens to call an American that doesn't create a warrant requirement.

Bush Invented, he plead to disorderly conduct - arguing with the officer - not anything related to what happened in the bathroom.

My understaning is that the police had numerous complaints of travelers being propositioned in this particular restroom in the Lindbergh Airport. This means that there must be some kind of "network" telling people who engage in this behavior of this one location.

You may not have a problem with people having sex in a public place... or being propositioned for sex (I am sure you will just politely decline) but some people have a problem with this in a public place. And its against the law... the police have to enforce the law especially when the public alerts them to this.

The wiretapping required a warrant from a specific court and the administration thought that they could ignore the court. This is a stretch to compare the two... these matters are not even related in legal statutes.

I have never seen one person on here say that wiretapping shouldn't be okay. I've seen people say that warrant-less wiretapping isn't okay. Get your facts straight.

As far as the whole police in the stall thing, they were doing this because they had reason to believe illegal actions were consistently taking place there. This is why they did this. Similar to how the warrant process works.

So he is accused and plead guilty of what? Hitting on somone in a bathroom. Did he expose himself? Did he offer the guy money for services? Not that I am ok with guys hitting on other guys in the bathroom, but I didn't know it was a crime you could be arrested for. Sick - yes. Wrong - yes. Unbecomming of a senator - yes
I think the whole thing is just a distraction to keep the people from paying attention to what we really should be. I'm sick of seeing reports on Lindsay Lohan, and Paris and all the other degenerates. We are watching the governements left hand while its right hand is flushing our country down the toilet.

Wow, what spin.

So which liberal forced Craig to admit to a crime he's so innocent of? If someone accused me of public lewd conduct, there's nothing on the planet that would get me to admit to it and have a criminal record where I'd had none before.

But sure. Craig didn't do anything wrong. He didn't play footsies with the cop under the stall divider. He didn't peer into the cop's stall for several minutes.

He was charged with moving his feet. Absolutely. You're right. How awful for him.

tap tap tap ;) :) :O

Wiretapping FOREIGNERS was OK, wiretapping American citizens was a little iffy, but we did it anyway!

But I agree! Nothing wrong with an older closet gay Republican bottom soliciting to give oral sex to some young stud cop in a public bathroom, it is just part of our closet GOP culture that people don't understand.... The fascist Liberal Outing Machine is after us again my friend.

Typical neocon question. A republican senator gets caught up in a sting operation and you try to take the heat off him by insinuating it's the fault of law enforcement doing their job. That's lame.

Though I agree with the wiretapping.. you are talking about two different things and comparing them as the same... you are on two different levels- they are two different crimes, on two different levels, by two different agencies
