What does this have to do with baseball?

This violent b/f is likely a control freak. The submission of "staying together" further allows him to control through intimidation. It is important to "stand tall" and walk out of a bad situation.
It is not about "breaking-up" it is about saving her life and having self respect...which he is taking away by his control through fear. IF violence is an issue, than support groups will assist with restraining orders and how they are enforced and obtained. Also, relocation might be an issue.
Bottom line...breaking up or broken bones? (or death) Which option is better???
Have a backbone and don't be intimidated. ALSO martial arts might be a good option. Some kick boxing skills can't hurt!!! Being prepared is always good. (pepper spray on a key chain!)
AND CYA!

Let people know you are afraid of him. Break off all ties. If he starts doing psyco stuff CALL THE POLICE.
They will help you anyway they can.
But talk to people and Be stong.
You deseve to live a safe violent free life.

I dont mean to sound cold, but if you knowingly get involved with someone you know is prone to violence, then you've just taken on a risk which you may have to pay consequences for later on. It never ceases to amaze me at the number of women-or men-who get deeply involved with someone who has a serious, unresoved issue(s), and then complain like they just CANT understand what happened when the chickens come home to roost. Since you asked this in baseball, i would say....grab a bat, take a few practice swings, and then try to knock one out of the yard

nice baseball ? but you just have to hope that this person has changed. If he hasnt then why did you go out with him in the first place. But any way try to say it nicely and calmly then walk away, but to be safe, lock your doors.
