I would explain but if you don't understand maybe it was not for you to understand. Also take into account that most of them can't keep a man.

it's not just black women, it's women in general. when women are assertive or have a firm stance or take a leadership position or management position or ask for a promotion or a raise, guess what they are??? the B word! If a guy does the same, he is tough and a power to reckon with. People associate black women with being more masculine and therefore more assertive and outspoken than their counterparts of other races and hence they are the B word.
Not! Women who are assertive, out spoken and ask for what they want, lead and inspire people are not b*tches. They are assertive and strong and the future of our gender. Rock on!

A strong woman who happens to be black?
Or a strong black woman, emphasis on the black?
I think people should be strong people, no emphasis on race.
My view on black woman... What generalizations! I don't have an *attitude,* and I'm black. Some black people *are* soft-spoken, so please do not promote generalizations based on race/ethnicity.
By the way, strength of character is VERY different than having an attitude. It's also different from being forceful. Just making some distinctions.

being strong is being a bi***h no matter what race and that view is from men when your not weak and submissive your considered the B word terrible isn't it? Black women are misconceived of having attitudes cause they (we) don't take no sh*T from anyone there the head of the family and they have to keep it together this been going on for generations. Black women have been through a lot for a very long time and the struggle still isn't over!

-WRONG a strong black woman is a woman who goes through all the bull everyday but stil struglles wit her head up. lets be honest, white women have more oppurtunites in America, believe me I know cuz i've been in dat position. A strong black woman will have class and dignity but still get on her grind to support her babies and distant family members without askin any1 for help. She also does da right thing. A ***** is different

All women are strong, especially in the labor pains department. Black women just have to put up with not only the normal issue women go through, but sometimes being both parents, working, and racism. Any one thing is enough to break a person, but they persevere. That's strength both mentally and physically.

my mom calls a strong black woman a WC squared and then when someone asks she says a woman of color to the second power! and then we laugh. Her and a friend of hers made that up when calling people "colored" was still politically correct. I see them as strong and admire them.
