MY FAVORITE JAGUARS ARE GOING TO BE 12-4 INSTEAD OF 8-8. Yeah, I'm from Jacksonville and I LOVE them. I will provide a link later since this is breaking news. I saw this story on the local news!

Unfortunately not a big surprise as Del Rio and Leftwich never got along, anyhow......but seems a waste after having the O-coordinator build the playbook around Leftwich.

But, that is probably why. Even with a book playing to his strengths, Leftwich just didn't light anyone up in pre-season.
Since Del Rio could very well be on the hot-seat himself this season, the move makes sense.

Leftwich has not been formally cut however. It appears that Jacksonville will entertain trade offers first.

Bet Del Rio is wishing he picked Quinn when he had the chance, huh?

Leftwich is better but he gets injured alot which is the reason why I think Jack Del Rio opted for Garrard. I have no idea whose going to trade for Leftwich though. I would say Atlanta, but they look like they are pretty set on Joey Harrington. Oakland looks set with Culpepper. Maybe Minnesota? Maybe Dallas as an insurance plan? Tampa Bay should make a move for him; but something tells me that Gruden doesn't want anything to do with a black quarterback.

Hope he finds a good situation. He is a quality NFL QB playing for a team that has no receivers.

Byron Leftwich hasn't been cut... yet. The Jaguars just named David Garrard as their starter for the 2007 season. Personally I think that while Garrard does give the Jags the better chance to win, that they are still going to be so-so this season. Just look at last season, Garrard got the starting job and they ended up closing out the season with Leftwich because Garrard couldn't get it done. Oh well... they should have never gotten rid of Brunell.

Garrard is terrible. If leftwich gets cut that leaves Jacksonville with no qb. Dumb move.

Why is Byron so much better than Garrard? I've never understood why he was always the number one guy. Either way they're not going 12-4 again, lets be realistic now.

Vince Young has to be loving this!
He is not the worst quarterback in the AFC South anymore! Garrard is! :)
