I find myself adrift at sea
Alone and tired I cannot flee
The currents and waves toss me around
My body and soul want to get out
Afraid of the waters I look for help
I shriek and cry out to God for help!
I ask God for strength and ask him for guidance
While winds blow me to the edge my boat my boat slowly, slowly subsiding
I ask God to help to stop all his anger
Tears don’t stop I am needing an anchor
The waters continue to grow while I am growing weary
My soul continues with out rest but still a feeling, a feeling so eerie
Wave after wave wind against wind
My God, my God watch over me for I am sinking!
Drip drop, drip drop again O lord my God I feel the rain…
Free me from my storm,
Free me from my own
As far away as you may seem
I look up and see a ray of light coming down upon me
I see your promise and I will not rest
I will get through and survive this test!!
