If you keep on your case worker from the child support agency you can get them to issue a seek-work order. This means that he needs to find gainful employment in order to pay child support or he goes to jail. You can also request that his drivers license be suspended if he does not start paying. You have a lot of rights it's just a matter of you being heard by the right person. If your worker seems like she is shining you on, just type up a letter outlining what you want and send her a copy. Send another copy to her supervisor and to the Director of the Family Support division. One thing I always found that helped was if I put 'cc' at the bottom of my letter listing the people that I sent it to along with the name of a local newspaper reporter and his/her title. Its amazing how quickly they respond!

How did he buy a house when he isnt paying support? Most of the time this is reported to the credit companies. Maybe it just depends on what state you are in? Well for a good laugh check this out. My ex and I just divorced this year. He hasn't paid any child support in 2 months now, plus he was behind to begin with. Him and his gf got kicked out of their place so they are staying from house to house with friends and family. Neither of them have a job, and haha they just found out they were having a baby!!
Now I wonder.....do men honestly think? They do things or buy things that cost X amount of money, yet can't support their own kids! Go figure...

how did he get a loan for a house without a job? I have in the recent past bought two houses and each time I had to produce check stubs for my pay checks proving my income.
also, check with a lawyer about imputing minimum wage to him and still coming up with a figure for child support. That's how we do it in my state.

One can't buy a house without having a job. No bank will finance a house without the person getting the loan having a job...I'd say you picked a real loser to be the daddy of your baby...doesn't say much for you sadly.

He must have some kind of income to buy a house. Stay on his butt. Make him support his child.

I don't know what state you live in, but in Texas, child support is based on income. If he won't prove income, then the state charges him child support based on minimum wage. But every state is different. Call your attorney.

You can not enforce chid support. If he is working "under the table" then you will need to prove that to the court.
