It's apples and oranges. Hillary can't control who gives her money, but she can return it if she finds out the source is someone who's committed a crime or is corrupt, or just someone with whom she just doesn't want to be associated. Craig on the other hand was in complete control of his own actions. He knew what he was doing. Where is the Republican accountability and personal responsibility for one's own actions when a scandal rears it's ugly head? Nowhere to be found...

Larry Craig if he is guilty, I heard the recordings and they don't have a very convincing or strong case against him for lewd conduct, should step down for being a hypocrite. BUT the problem with liberals, is when one of their own gets caught in a scandal, they get reelected and continue to serve on committees. Look at the Jefferson scandal, he gets reelected and while he's being investigated by the FBI, he gets appointed head of the committee that oversees the FBI budget. A bit of a conflict of interest there! And the media is so biased to the left, dems get very small coverage when they slip up, but if a republican does, OH MY GOD, the worlds gonna end. The media is a left wing puppet to smear republicans and conservatives, and that's why Hannity and other conservatives get upset. Besides, just because a small number of conservatives are hypocritical to their values, doesn't mean they aren't good moral values to live by! Do you hate good and moral family values?

Well I suppose we might as well throw out the Bible since the last person who lived up to its lofty expectations got nailed to the cross!!! We all make judgements about other folks every day. Most of us do have boundaries, even democrats. The difference is Republicans clean their own house and Dems turn a blind eye like trying to appoint a guy to a politcally powerful position even AFTER he is caught with marked money in his freezer!! Apparently didn't faze the dems a whole lot. Some things should be overlooked such as a persons sexual preference. But bribery should be the end of a persons political career. Instead you want to promote him!!! That says something about your party. Ya think!!!!!

Partly you are right, however there is more than enough hypocrisy to go around on this one. After all when Clinton lied in front of a grand jury(perjury) every Democrat on Earth said it was a personal matter. When some Gay Republican commits a misdemeanor in an airport bathroom it's front page news for days. Seems sort of ridiculous to me,especially when there are much bigger news stories to cover, like perhaps a certain Democrat party Presidential candidate taking thousands in contributions from fugitives. But whatever,I guess we will continue to dwell on petty issues instead.

If you really listened to Senator Craig's tape with the police department, it doesn't take much to realize that he's done nothing wrong. Talk about a railroad job by the gestapo. Before anyone jumps on Sen Craig, one should look long and hard at the Dems in the House of Reps. How do these criminals keep getting re-elected? It reflects on their constituency.

I agree.
A better parallel is comparing Craig to JFK knocking boots with Marylin Monroe in various cheap hotels all over the country and calling in Bobby Kennedy for sloppy seconds (errr, I mean clean-up duty.)

dont put all conservatives in this little hypocrisy box you wanna shove us into.. you want us to equate all libs with what bill clinton, teddy, and hillary clinton have done??? not fair is it??? that kind of attitude is what most true conservatives are upset about.... NOT that "one of own" is being forced from office... if he did in fact do something illegal he should resign... no sane republican is disputing that.

is it better to speak against sin and fail then to stay quit and do anything you want
and Craig didn't do anything in public. he was trying to pick someone up. the argument of Craig being in public is irrational and disingenuous

Because at some point, Hannity wrapped himself so tightly in the American flag that he cut off all circulation to his head. yet amazingly, he continues to function.

what goes on behind closed doors between consenting adults is no ones business, especially the press.
With that in mind, Clinton did it behind closed doors, Craig did it in a public bathroom.
Nuff said
Time to move on
There are more important things to deal with, like our children's future which we are ignoring.
Peace
