You know that double standard between guys and girls? That men can sleep around but women can't?
It annoys me that a lot of women are so quick to get mad about that double standard when they are the ones perpetuating it. Constantly calling other girls that they dislike "promiscuous" if you get what I mean. If you hate the stereotype then stop using these negative words.
It's no ones business who sleeps with who so long as the people are safe and smart about it. I don't sleep around personally but it isn't my place to judge.

i agree with you one hundred percent. i hate it that girls are sluts but you never hear about guy whores.
to me women do so because of ignorance. but i for one dont

I think the judging is in the warning other men and women to watch out for std's, but it can also be to say to other people that that promiscuous person isn't serious about marriage. Some people like being known as easy. And sometimes then when you try to get good employment you can't because you carry the easy title along with you (women who want to keep their husbands don't want to be around you nor do they want their husband around you at work or outside of the office). A lot of companies these days are run by families so knowing about a person's background is paramount.
The reason it has negative consequences (or stereotyping) is because the female will some day have children and will be the one to teach and nurture them (moreso than the male will).
I was barely done with the question and pressed send when I got two negatives. My answer was a positive and truthful one...perhaps not your generation...but maybe it hit a sad cord with those who thumbs down my response. Someone needs to grow up and it's not me....lol...just for the fun of it I placed a star...so people will get a chance to see those hitting the thumbs down are not living in reality.

Because sleeping around is disgusting. That's how the world is today... no one should be sleeping around and acting like pigs... go masterbate for f*ck sake. Sex is supposed to be meaningful... and it isn't anymore, people just f*ck whoever they want and it's disgusting. The only girls that I call whores, are the girls that actually ARE whores. Girls that sleep around... will basically spread their legs for anyone and everyone. One of my good friends was like this, and she had sex with my boyfriend. That's how those girls are. It's wrong and disgusting and I'll b*tch and b*tch until it changes.

its a very anglo thing -- not just women. somehow its ok in protestant religions to damn everyone to hell. i know lots of guys that do it too. i think its partly to make them look better by making everyone else look worse. its always the larry craigs that are the loudest.

Blaaah, I hate that too. In my circle of friends, I've heard a couple of them say sh!t about another for the choices she's making sexually. I'm just like, "who cares... lecture her if she's not using condoms, but if she is, then why does it matter?"
More people need to be like us. :)
