Your wife could get pregnant the next time you have sex! Don't bank on it taking years. It all depends on other factors too. Her cycle, her age, your age, hospitable eggs, strong swimmers. She might be able to get pregnant immediately but you just won't hit the right time for a year. Sorry, just no guarantees with this sort of thing. Good luck!

Well they tell you that after stopping the pill (length taken doesn't matter) it takes a year to get pregnant.

My sister stopped the pill after 10 years and was pregnant within a month!

The reason they tell you up to a year is because it can take that long for your body to figure out its own cycle again in order to facilitate a viable pregnancy.

if she's fertile, she could be pregnant anytime. the chance of getting pregnant is as likely as anyone else. unless she's hit menopause.

there are associated risk with long term use of pill; perhaps she could consider intrauterine device such as Mirena after being assesed by a Dr. discuss with Dr other forms of contraception available.

AND Sex is NOT fun if you are worried about pregnancy ;-)

pretty slim for a while. When you take BC pills for a prolonged period like that, it takes several months for the ovaries to begin releasing eggs again. Tho' not impossible, it is unlikely she would conceive any time soon. If pregnancy is not wanted however, would use another form of contraception.

Assume it will take two years to get her pregnant and you will not be too disappointed. It can take quite a while for nature to get things back to normal but some are lucky and it happens within a month ot two.

Pretty good odds once the extra hormones get out of her system. Depending upon her and your fertility, probably 100% odds (but I'm no doctor).
