I am originally off on Mon. and this Mon. is Labor Day so what are laws in order to compensate me since I am already off?

there are no laws for this. An employer is not required to pay you for holidays that they are closed, That is a benefit that you and your employer would have had to establish in advance. Besides, if you were already off on Mandays then you wouldn't get paid for that day anyway.

Just be glad you don't have to work Monday at your normal pay scale. Holidays are a thing of the past for a lot of people.For most it's just another work day. Unless your a school teacher or work for a bank. They have so many paid holidays it a wonder they get anything done.

Normally, this is covered by holiday pay. You must work the day before and the day following (scheduled days) the holiday to get the pay. Where my wife works, there are two shifts that never work Mondays (where most holidays occur) but they get holiday pay.

You don't get compensated. You already have the day off. You wouldn't have been paid for it anyways.
