Not sure if this will work or not, I know those jumper boxes have the juice to start the car. But do they have enough power to leave it connected to the battery to run the electrical long enough to get the car to a mechanic. having alternator issues. thanks

Does the car die once you start it up and disconnect the jumper box?

I wouldn't recommend it. If the car stays running once you jump it and disconnect the jumper drive it the way it is just don't shut it off. I've heard of people driving there cars without the alternator charging it.
