Flat-chested stranger, "inappropriate" is a big word for you I know (lotsa syllables) but in this instance, it's just- inappropriate.

Well, if it isn't a job, why do I have to pay $250 for a day's work to have my house looked after? - LOL.

Well because it is a full time job, cleaning the house, looking their best for their greedy husbands ,take care of the kids if there are any..and by the way the word "whine" is totally inappropriate.

they just want to be appreciated and noticed for their contributions too. You get to leave, hear me! LEAVE the house everyday and go work. They wake up to work and work and then go to bed to work. It isn't like they go do whatever all day to make a living and then maybe go out for happy hour and then return home and have a tv dinner. The never get to leave work, they are always there, even if they are half drunk they are always at work! They b*tch and talk about it the same as you might talk about work when you come home, it is their job. Show some respect!

I think you'll find that they "whine" as a result of attitudes like yours. Its thankless work, and often, it goes completely unnoticed. She can spend all day working to clean a house and within minutes of a family coming home, all that work is 'ruined'. How would that make you feel? Lets face it, men want recognition every bit as much as women do. In fact, in most cases, they want it even more. It frequently occurs in my house....my husband often acts as though he deserves a medal for completing something that I do daily...as part of my routine.

Everyone wants respect, credibility.

Some housewives make a real job out of it, some do nothing.

What 'job' do you think deserves more respect than others?

I personally don't think any job deserves respect of any kind.

Housework is very hard. It is a job, but does not pay very well. I feel sorry for you in that you don't recognize that.
