What does his position as president of the society mean to the community as a whole, if anything?
Has he done "pro bono" work you can write about?
Has he made an important (significant, small, whatever!) discovery in medicine or for the society this year?
Has he changed the "mission statement" for/with the society this year? at all, I mean?
Has he "held the course," or stayed with his own convictions, in the face of challenge this year?
Has he had challenges and what were they? How did he overcome one or two?
Good luck to him and to you!

Perhaps write about the importance of his contributions to the wellness of society?

mention how his work in the medical society leads to general well being of society.

As a matter of fact, he would probably be happy with anything.

If you can think of any new things he has accomplished in this past year, that would help
