you will count out the amount in $1 bills or

count at an average rate of one bill per second,
and be sure to allow for the fact that you need
about 10 hours a day for sleeping and eating.
Which offer should you accept?
In order to answer this, how long will it take
you to count out the $3:6 billion? Answer in

3 600 000 000 sec * (1 hour / 3600 sec) * (1 day counting / 14 hours) * (1 year / 365.25 days) = 195.561 years

(i used 365.25 for days in a year to average out leap years)

so if you are a going to live 195 plus years and have nothing better to do with your time take the 3.6 billion. otherwise the 6 grand is a great offer.

Divide 3.6 billion by the number of bills you can count per day; 14hrs/day with 3600sec/hr = 50400 bills/day.

Divide that number by 365 to get the answer in years.

You should be able to easily see which one is the better deal.

3600 x 14 x 365.25 = 18408600 bills per year
at 18 million/year, get 3.6 billion in 200 years.
6 grand looks better to me.

Assuming 10 hours per day sleeping and eating allows 14 hours per day for counting.

1 bill per second ( b/s ) x 3600 = 3600 bills per hour.
3600 bills per hour x 14 hours = 50,400 bills per day
50,400 bills per day x 365 days per year = 18,396,000 per year.

3,600,000,000 bills total at 18,396,000 bills per year:

3,600,000,000/18,396,000 = 195.69 years

You should accept the lump sum, you would die long before you finished counting.

You would never finish. It would take about 25 lifetimes to count all of the money. Take the $6000.
