Disassociation from the white house to try and protect any decency they still may have. Colin Powell was the smartest. He saw aall of the bull crap, put on his high boots and walked away.

You are making a big thing out of something that is non-sequential. You have a Republican President that has been under intense pressure from Democrats for 4 years, the media for 5 years, and the public for the last three to four years. The Democrats control the House and the Senate, which means they control Congress.

Congress has already shown they wish to get very little done over the next year and a half besides try to fry the President even more.

Tony Snow no douby needs the money for enormous hospital bills. I understand his leaving and I think it was very noble of him to be honest.

All the other politicians leaving do not wish to have their name smeared along with the President for no reason. Why stay and fight along with a President who will be scrutinized for everything he does from the way he wipes to the way he blows his nose during a conference?

They have nothing to gain by staying and everything to lose.

Even the RATS know when a ship is sinking. Why are there some 50 federal departments without department heads? Could it be because of the King Rat?
