Yes,and it's not rare, particularly in nature. But more obvious is the kind that emerges when nature does a number on man-made stuff. An abandoned farm building. A rusting half-sunk trawler. An old army base, overgrown with wild plant life. Look up North Brother Island on google and you'll see the ultimate in beautiful ugliness. Lots of photos online. It's an island in NYC,right off upper manhattan. Used to be a mental hospital.

Sure, depends on who looks at the ugliness. That's why there's an old saying beauty lies within the heart. But if the ugliness is in the heart then, no, there is no beauty.

Of course, someone can be deformed, mangled from an accident, etc. and still be a beautiful person on the inside! I always find a beautiful something in everyone I meet! I have never found anything truly ugly!

Yes there can be beauty in ugliness. I think What a person is on the inside shows on the outside.Like Lisa marie presley is beautiful, sings good, but has this attitute pesonality which,I think makes her not so pretty Then there is Carol Burnett, not real beautiful but her great personality makes her a beauty Queen! And look at Mick Jagger(UGLY) but his charm and personality make him very handsome not to mention his great singing!

Beauty and ugliness are subjective interpretations. If you think a person or something is beautiful, even if no one else thinks that way, then they are beautiful to you. If you think that someone or something is ugly, you dont perceive them to be beautiful anyway. So no.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So yes. A person may not be perceived as attractive on the outside but beautiful on the inside, personality-wise. Also, the opposite is true.

Yes ..... We used to make art out of trash and found objects ( I went to V.C.U. in Richmond Va. )...Turned out great. Also, as far as people are concerned...Someone is both beautiful & ugly at the same time because peoples tastes are different. Beautiful people can be ugly when they are hurtful to others. Ugly people can be beautiful because of their kindness.

Maybe it's not ugliness maybe it's uniqueness. If there is beauty there it may be unappreciated for not meeting general standards of beauty. Different cultures and groups of people find so many different things to be beautiful you realize how subjective beauty really is.
