Any good films you can recommend that are a worthwhile watch? It must have subtitles, of course, and no dubbing.

My favorite of all time is Heimat, a German film, the first series.

Pan's Labyrinth. Wait was that foriegn? I am not sure, but it is filmed in Spanish. It has to be the freakiest movie that I've ever seen...

This is going back a few years: Jean de Florette and Manon de Sources with Yves Montand. (1986). I believe the Manon title is Manon of the Spring in English and the sequel to Jean de Florette. Both are with subtitles.

It's kind of an oldie but, my favorite foreign film is IL Postino. It is all in subtitles. I love this movie and have watched it repeatedly. It's a must see!!!

I would highly recommend Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain, a french film with subtitles.

"Life is Beautiful" with Roberto Benigni. He won an oscar for it. Excellent film.
