There is a movie i am not sure if its an anthology or not, but all i remember is a blonde mother home alone with her daughter. A psycho got loose and dressed up as santa. He attacks her she fights him off but she dies eventually, I think the daughter lets him in. The womans screams are really good ones too

...I think that it's safe to say that 'Jack M' probably has the points, as far as matching the film to your description; however, for perhaps a mere 'thumbs up', it might just be worth mentioning that the HBO episode of "Tales from the Crypt", entitled "...and All Through the House", was a virtual remake of the same story taken from the chilling classic British Amicus horror anthology from 1972, also known as "Tales from the Crypt"; the story featured the gorgeous Joan Collins, as the woman plagued upon, by a psychopathic Santa...

That is an episode from the HBO series Tales From The Crypt. I believe that its the first season of that show called "And all through the house"

I think you are refering to Slient Night Deadly Night. That movie is terrible.
