stalling when (occasionally) when accelerating?

ALL OF THIS IS BASED ON A:
HONDA ACCORD 1997 4 CYL.

My radiator was leaking about a week ago, I got it fixed though, I had it replaced. 2 days ago i was driving and i noticed that water was leaking. I checked, and i noticed that a water tube was leaking (tube next to the intake and engine)! It leaked about 2 gallons of water in about 10 mins!!! I had to go to the mechanic which lived about 5 miles away. When I was getting there my engine was over heating. It wasnt smoking but the temp meter was at about 85% (its usually @ about 45%). When half ways there I noticed that my car was losing "power". It wouldnt accelerate when taking off or when bearly gaining speed. When I got to the mech, he replaced the broken tube, everything went good, but i notice that my car wont accelerate as fast as it used to!! AND IT STALLS once in a while when taking off or gaining speed!!!! WHAT COULD BE WRONG WITH MY CAR? HOW MUCH WOULD IT COST TO GET IT FIXED?

might this be it? a gas filter? i mean..i do press the accelerator and it doesnt accelerate like if the car was off.

hopefully its something simple like the fuel filter but excessive heat can cause a lot of internal damage to the engine. you may have fried some valves or possibly warped your head. check the coolant for oil or air bubbles, if so your head seal
may have been compromised. this same type of situation happened to me in a 91 toyota truck; I was in the middle of nowhere and had no cell so I had to drive it and in the process I burned valves. the truck ran like hell after this and I had to have them replaced

Driving a car with insufficient coolant is very likely to cause serious damage to an engine. I had a leaking radiator problem recently which I got fixed. Fortunately the leak was slow and which gave me sufficient time to refill the radiator and drive the car. When the coolant is low you never really know how hot the car got because the temperature sensor measures coolant temperature and when there isn't enough coolant it won't measure accurately. Was the temperature constantly high or did it fluctuate? If it fluctuated it means that at least there was some coolant in the system but there were also pockets of air.

If sounds like your engine was damaged and if this is the case I wouldn't bother trying to fix this problem unless you know someone who is really good at rebuilding it. Engine parts are made to tolerances of thousandths of an inch and any significant overheating will distort those tolerances and cause the problems you describe. In the future if you car overheats pull over immediately and allow it to cool. If you have an coolant leak of such magnitude do not attempt drive the car.

the 1997 4 cylinder Accord was recalled for a problem with the ignition switch contacts that caused the car to stall when driving down the road. It is almost certain that the stalling problem you describe is caused by the ignition switch failure. The repair will be done at no charge by any Honda dealer.

The loss of power could be caused by the ignition switch but the overheating is more likely the cause of the loss of power.
I can't speak to the cause of the overheating but you definetly want to get the igntiion switch replaced by Honda immediately!

If you notice your car is overheating, pull over ASAP! First let the car cool down, then refill the radiator with water -- even if it is leaking. It you drive while your car is overheating you can do permanent damage to the motor. Hopefully this isn't the case in your situation. If you fried your motor, with labor it could cost you a couple thousand dollars to fix. It probably is not worth such an investment on a ten year old car.

Could be a vacuum leak. Take it to a garage. I am not sure how much it would be, I live in CT everything is high priced.
