Can we answer this if we are Southerners? Southerners come in all varieties. But traits that seem to be somewhat common of all Southerns, regardless of race or class, are: a generally affable nature, even if we don't like you, we will try to help if you are in need or if you ask; we don't like to be rushed, unless we are driving, then you better get out the way, Southerners are notorious speeders; recreation of all types including sports, arts/crafts, grilling out (just to name a few) are very important, in general Southerners typically prefer being outside, except in August; and most Southerners have a (sometimes annoying) rebellious/stubborn streak.

Im from the South and love everything about it, the country the people etc. So when I think of Southerners I think of home:)

They have cool accents. ^_^ And yes, I do notice alot of them are friendly. I went south a while for summer vacation. They aren't all racist-I'm asian and they were very friendly towards me.
Up here North where I live people aren't generally as warm.
Oh don't worry-Micheal is just a dumb boy probably from my town right here in New England. Some upper class dumb kid with a popped collar and flip flops. Maybe you should consider getting another fake tan-you're starting to look patchy kid.

They seem to take life a little slower than the rest of us, which is a good thing. And, what can you say about southern cooking, other than grab a plate?? : )))

I am from the south and I'm very proud of it. I'm not dumb, ignorant, racist, or dirt poor. I'm friendly, I love my Louisiana culture and I have a wonderful family and wonderful Cajun friends. Good luck. 2D

They typical Southerner is very down-to-earth, kind, and hospitable. You won't find more pleasant and friendly people to be around.

Even though I'm from Texas, people are not as racist and stupid as what most think... I keep to myself and mind my business and they mind theirs... Where I live there are no race wars or crazy stuff like that,,,
