Depends on what you are looking for right now? I was doing the same thing look for a job I could do at home but could not find anything so I tried looking for a business that I could do. I did a couple of months of research and I am now a Herbalife Distributor. It has been great since everything is taught you by your coaches so if you do what they tell you then you going to make money. It sells products in the wellness industry and right now is the right time to get involved do to the fact that the wellness industry is like the .com of the 90's. Its just booming I havent had to much work for the return I have gotten and everything can be done from you computer at home. If you would like to learn more about how it works go to www.starturhomebiz.net. Also if you want to look at the products that I sell go to www.hugenutritionmall.com this would be the same thing that you would be selling. I am doing we better than I thought I would with this and I can believe on how much support I get from my coaches. Well I hope this helps and good luck with your search for the dream job.

wellllll this should highly depend on your skills and what kind of business that you are interested in... but if you really want some general answers, here goes.

Small towns usually lack a computer store, yet the residents still have and want computers. A retail sales and repair shop would be successful.

If there isn't already a subway.... its about the cheapest franchise you can get and very popular with all types of people, although due to this there are usually already a bunch of subways taking up the highest traffic areas.

If they don't have it, cingular wireless franchise, but like the subway, they probably already have one.

Small towns LOVE seafood buffets.

If it is truly a high income area, there is this business franchise that works really well called i-soldit. Its a store where regular people can bring in items to have them sold on ebay by the store. Only if its a purely high income area though. The trinkets that the trophy wives bring in are HUGE sellers on ebay.

I don't know about the area but I opened my own business in Cleveland, Ohio suburbs & ran it for 13 years from my home & did very well. It was for trophies & engraving. Someone always needs trophies or plaques no matter. Schools, football, baseball, soccer, bowling & the list goes on & on. I had neighborhood kids working for me & it was very profitable & you can do it from home with no overhead. Good Luck!
