That is an easy answer.
You are a liberal if you believe that the government is responsible for everything you do, need and/or want. If you believe that you are only as successful as the government lets you be, you are a liberal. If you believe that you cannot succeed without the help of government, then you are a liberal.
You are a conservative if you believe you control your own destiny and you are responsible for yourself and everything you need, want and do. If you believe in the rugged competitive spirit of the individual, then you are a conservative.
Basically, if you are a socialist, you are a liberal. If you are a capitalist, i.e. an American, then you are a conservative.

My liberal ex used to allow our young daughters to watch pg-13 at the age of 8...

Probably a little right of center on international issues and left of center on domestic issues. Financial issues send you further right and moral values keep you pretty even keeled.

Don't label yourself. Creating a label for myself has done me no good whatsoever. You can be both or neither, you can be one or the other, it doesn't matter. Represent your own opinion through whatever medium you want. Don't join the bandwagon of forcing yourself into a group of thought.
