i dont get when people say you cant wear white after labor day. explain please?

White is considered a spring/summer color. After labor day you're suppose to gear up for the fall colors.

I wear white after Labor Day because when you think about it it's always after Labor Day.

It was one of the old fashion rules, when I was little we never wore white shoes after labor day. Only dark colored ones. I don't know what the meaning was behind it, but very few people follow this now.

it is a very very old tradition, that pretty much everybody ignores now. In california it stays warm almost to Halloween and I wear white all the time. As winter starts and temps drop i tend to switch to winter white/cream instead.

i once got yelled at for wearing white shoes the day after labor day. i was on my was to work, i looked at the lady, said oh, then let me go change, i went back into my house, and changes from my blue scrubs, into my pure white scrubs. just to be deliberare. i went back out side,i was dressed in pure white from head t otoe. i thought the lady was going to have a stroke right there and then. i told her even my bra was white, then i asked her who cares if i wear white, i then told her to have a great white day, got into my car, and went to work. if you want to wear white, then do it.
