I haven't corrected anyone's spelling or grammar on Yahoo Answers. If they have poor spelling or grammar I don't answer the question.
Part of my job is to edit and correct grammar and spelling. I do this all day long therefore I do not want to do it on YA.

Yes, it does irrittate me, I have had people send me an E-mail, just to correct my grammar, that is so annoying.

No, unless they do it in a rude way. I speak five different languages and English (grammar wise) isn't my strong point. I have a tendency to over use commas and punctuate incorrectly, so any help is appreciated.

Hmmmm... I'm guilty of doing that and correcting spelling, too. Haven't done that to you, though. Can I be forgiven? I have a good excuse... I am a teacher!

Yes, it bugs the hell out of me. It's acceptable between a small child and parent, or teacher and student. Otherwise, don't do it.
