Why do you allow the Redsox fans to take over the entire city when they play the Orioles. The entire inner harbour has banners , and red signs up. Where is the pride.

I'm an Orioles fan but I don't live on the east coast anymore. The Orioles haven't been .500 in 10 years. The owners sucks, so the fans are trying to get back at him, by not going to games. Every city that has a bad team, is gonna be overrun by Yank or Sox fans, because that's the biggest bandwagon in baseball, so idiots everywhere are gonna show up to support "their" team. Even teams that are good get overrun with fans of Cubs, R. Sox, or Yanks, it's obvious because they always charge more for those games in Colorado, or Arizona. If I was in Baltimore I'd still be wearing my Orange with pride, but it's hard, and too many people are boycotting to make a diff. I saw the O's here in AZ and wore my stuff, not too many O's fans there though. New owner is what we need!

No one should care about the signs if the Orioles are good enough to beat the Red Sox. A win over the Red Sox has to be more impressive than all the signs.

As a Red Sox fan (grew up in Boston and still have nightmares of 67,75,78,86 etc) who lives in Phoenix. The Red Sox and the Cub fan do that all of the time here (esp the Cubs since they come here more often) I went to 2 of 3 Sox-Dback games and esp the first day. It looked like Fenway Pahk West at Chase Field.

Find one Orioles fan that has been pleased by the ownership of Peter Angelos. there are a lot of fans here who are routinely frusterated by the team's lack of competativeness, and while they will still watch the games on TV, some fans don't feel compelled to put money into Angelos's pockets.

It's gotten to the point where Orioles fans staged an organized "Free the Birds" protest and walk-out against the ownership last season in a September game against the Tigers to try and get their message accross to Angelos to sell the team.

The Orioles have players that are well liked by the fans, Brian Roberts is one of them, Kevin Millar has been very well recieved by the Orioles fans for his hard nosed play and personality. Most fans look forward to every time Bedard's turn comes up in the rotation, but this is what you get when with a team that's going on 10 seasons without a playoff shot.

You will only get so much money out of your die-hard fans, and you eventually lose the ability to win over new fans, especially when most of your die-hard fans are also Ravens fans (myself included), as well as most people are in the Baltimore area. By this point instead of going to an Orioles game, most people would rather save up their money and try to get tickets for a Ravens game instead. The Ravens offer a more competative product for their fans' money.

Case in point, you will some Patriots fans scattered about M&T Bank this stadium when the Ravens host the Patriots, but those fans will be in the VAST minority amongst the sea of purple. Not like Red Sox fans at Oriole Park.

If I had tickets or the time-off to go to an Orioles game this weekend, I would as a die-hard fan, but I can't say I blame the fans who are tentative about spending their money on the Orioles at this point.

I hate to say this, I wish Oriole Park was like it was in it's early days when it was still drawling good crowds, in part because the Orioles put a competative product on the field for the average blue collar fans who spent their hard earned money on tickets. The same blue collar fans who don't see that same type of product today.

Hello, you may have been to Baltimore, but with all due respect evidently you don't live in the area like I do. Every year we have seen more and more Red Sox and Yankees fans come down when their respective clubs have come to town. Both fans come down in scores and have their own chants that can be heard loud and clear, along with their cheering. It seems like it has gotten to the point where Orioles fans are getting outnumbered in their own ballpark.

Dissapointed and generally frusterated Orioles fan base + fans that have a hard time getting into their own ballparks because of the popularity of the teams = a lot of roadtrips and short flights to Baltimore where it's easy to get tickets and see what a lot of people consider one of the best stadiums in the game.
