I, too, am facing this problem but I have found lots of tutoring opportunities. Currently, I am working at Huntington Learning Center. Other options are Sylvan Learning Center, Princeton Review, Kaplan, private tutoring, textbook companies, juvenile justice departments, outdoor educational retreats, or professional jobs related to your content area (editing, science labs, historical museums, etc).

Do you have a "Temp Agency" near where you are? Look in the yellow pages and find one of those companies or one of the places that is a "Job finder". Then call them and set up an interview. They are good at matching your qualifications to available jobs. Most of the time you can talk to them the first time free. They only charge if they match you with a job, and then they get a percent of the pay for a limited time.
