Question: Dude... Why do Belgians obsess over US politics?

Question Details: And then troll and report those that don't agree with them?

Deleted Answer: They resent the fact that we have saved their sorry asses from tyrants and totalitarian governments numerous times. They resent the fact that their best and brightest flee for America when given the opportunity so they may reach their true potential. They realise that if the best and brightest are gone, they (those remaining) are required to work beyond their limited ability to keep their welfare state afloat. They resent the fact that despite their political posturing, America continues to provide for their military defence, proving that we stand by allies no matter how hypocritical they become. They resent the fact that first America, and now Asian economies are rendering their feeble failed socialist experiment more irrelevant yearly. They are impotent and they know it.

EDIT: this actually applies to much of the EU.

We call that.. "Freedom of speech." (Belgian style). And you are correct about this applying to much of Europe. After spending sixteen years of my life there, I KNOW what I'm talking about and don't need people to tell me that I'm wrong.

Socialism, is not good!

I am not surprised, especially if you run the Conservative way. I have a question almost exactly like yours open at this time, and another Conservative's question about this issue was removed, deleted at about 3am this morning. Conservatives that I am familiar with on this forum, are up in arms, and PO'D as heck. I have been reported 10 times in the last 7 days, and just waiting for another today. This answer could be it!
Below is my question.

You think you're pissed? I had 7 "Best" answers, no violations and got 11 points when I logged on this morning.

I've been raped of 60 points that some Yahoo infidel must have given to a spam infested user so they can keep asking stupid questions without ever having a need to actually GAIN any points.

Hand-me-downs are for kids - not Yahoo liberal spam mongers.

Dude--I would appeal this at the violation appeal board. You simply answered the question, I don't see a violation of the TOS. This looks like one of those cases where enough people reported it that a bot automatically deleted the answer. If it is appealed, I would bet that they would restore the answer and the points.

Hey, don't worry about it. The Belgians contribute waffles, chocolates and the beer. Not a lot in the political discourse

Dude... Your answer was deleted because you had the best answer. The Belgian was infuriated and was trying to silence you. He knows nothing about freedom of speech.

I would have given you best answer dude. You deserved it.

You don't think this could have anything to do with calling people "sorry asses" who have "limited ability" and live in a "welfare state?" Learn how to attack ideas and not people and you might get somewhere without first being deleted.

I didn't realize that there were two people outside of Belgium who cared about Belgians.
