its not anymore, it used to be , they renamed it as a star. Not Sure what it is.

No it was decided based on the size it will be a "dwarf" planet. This was came to because there are known objects inside the Kuiper Belt around the same size as Pluto or the even bigger object, Eris. So Pluto is now considered part of the Kuiper Belt. If you wanna know anything else about the Kuiper Belt and Pluto look here...

Pluto hasn't changed. Just our terminology. We've re-filed it under "Dwarf Planet."

It's a dwarf planet. It got demoted. However, since the word "planet" is still in the name, I would think that it's still aplanet. Go figure.
