It happens to all of us, honey. I don't know if you carry a purse or not, but you might want to consider starting. Keep at least one pad in there for emergencies. Also, your school nurse will have them available for you. As far as what your doctor says, he cannot predict when your first period will come, so don't stress over it too much. I doubt it is true that no one in your class has had a period before. Most girls don't advertise it when they get theirs. If it is true though, you will have lots of advice and experience to offer your friends. Just don't worry about it. It's a natural part of being a girl!

Get yourself some panty liners and wear them every day. Carry larger pads in your purse/backpack (they now come in those cushy little wrappers....ours didn't, we carried the bulky pads in a wrapped paper sack in our purse...and everyone knew what it was). You can keep the pads hidden along the bottom of your purse - some purses have a cardboard flap in them, put the pads under there. By wearing the panty liner you will have a bit of protection. If you feel something squeeze out onto the liner, you can go to the bathroom to check and see if you started...if so, utilize the pad in your purse/backpack. Too, the liner will help keep you from having to tie a jacket or sweater around your waist...this advertises to everyone what has happened.
Good luck.

Just carry some pads in your back pack in case you get it during school hours.
I was 10 years old and in the 5th grade when I got mine. I really was the only one in my class that had it.

Ask your mom to buy you pantyliners, and always carry a pad or tampon in your bag.Wear the pantyliners everyday, you'll probably notice when your period comes and be able to excuse yourself to put in more reliable protection.

Get pantiliners. They are cheap. Wear one all the time as insurance against an accident. Carry pads with you in your purse.

That's right Gurl, make sure you have them pads or tampons on. Not having could be embarrassing for it to show up through your clothes. As long as you have those aids, you're okay.

First of all, you probably won't be the first girl. Don't worry about it. It's nothing, you'll know it's not like you just won't notice. Then, you'll ask the teacher to go to the bathroom and you'll be fine. It's no big deal. Calm down hon.

do what i did. Keep a "kit" in your locker or bookbag with 2 pads and a new pair of undies in it. odds are your first wont be heavy enough to bleed through clothes, so you should be alright.
