Terence trent d,erby had a song with that lyric in it. IF YOU LET ME STAY.
Could that be it????

These were the first two lines of Terence Trent D'Arby's Dance Little Sister:

Get up outta your rockin' chair grandma..
Or rather would you care to dance grandmother?

But I haven't seen the film so I don't know whether there's a connection.
