I never watched old halloween or F13 previously. Does it have to do anything with the new movie?
I really wanted to see the new movie?

F13 is a different series altogether and the new halloween is a remake....like you didn't ahve to see the 1970's texas chainsaw massacre to see the new one with jessica biel. and as for the last two questions a remake is a remake of course the have things to do with each other cause they are the same. not to discount rob zombie (i love his music and movies) but the original is reallly good and the scream queen got her name for a reason....it was after all the golden era of horror

probably not because the new movie is supposed to be a remake by Rob Zombie. I would suggest seeing the old one though because it is a really good movie if you can get over the lack of blood and gore and the fact that it was made in the late 70's or early 80's.

its a remake, if you want just watch the original to compare them both and see which you liked the best, F13 has nothing to do with Halloween. that was jason not micheal

No you wont have to watch the original. Much like every other hollywood movie these days, the "new" Halloween is a remake.

not at all. the new halloween is not a sequel or a prequel - it's a remake, a "reimagining" of the original movie. DEFINETLY watch the original Halloween at some point though, b/c it's not the same without the "scream queen" aka jamie lee curtis, lol.

The new movie is simply a remake of the original, not another sequel. You don't need to watch the original to understand the new movie, however you could watch it to compare the two.

Rob Zombie said that the new one is a remake but it's also more in depth. So there shouldn't be any prerequisites to view it. I guess the new one goes into his childhood as well.

The new movie is the old movie but it actually make you crap your pants so no you don't have to see the old one.
