Our society has become over sexed and parents are doing nothing about it. I mean, you can't turn on the radio without there being some sex song on and T.V. is no better. I was watching "My Super Sweet Sixteen :The Movie", and the girls were fighting over who would have the best party until someone sent them a tape of the events of Hurricane Katrina and the girls stopped fighting and became friends again-positive message right- then they ended the movie with Pretty Ricky's Song "The Hot-line" which speaks in almost graphic detail about sex. I'm so sick of this. Before that I watching the Tyra Show, and she was discussing the same thing we are, and she created a fake store and let girls ages 6-12 pick out what they wanted, and they all chose "sexy items". Just look at Seventeen magazine, the cover always talks about getting a "sexy butt" or "how to get a boyfriend".
We need to stop this before it gets out of hand, maybe we can join together like Tipper Gore and her group in the 1980's- thanks to them we have those advisories on Cd's.
We need to be protecting our children from this mess not supporting it-freedom of speech is one thing but we need to protect our children from things they are not ready for at such young ages.

Honestly, thats been on my mind lately. I'm afraid to have kids because of this. Kids today are at a totally different mental level from when I used to be younger. They are maturing too quickly and missing out on their childhood I think.
Don't know why, media, internet, time..who knows.
My bestfriend works for a day care and she caught 2 6 year olds literally french kissing. Can you believe it! I was in shock!

i blame the parents more than the media personaly, as a parent you are suposed to be a guardian and guard your children from the things that are imoral, television should be a place to see what you dont want to be when you grow up nowadays, also, parents who are activly involved in their childrens lives play an important roll, you should be more worried about what your childrens day at school was like than what brittany spears did with her children in the latest us weekly! i mean come on!!

I don't know, but they're stupid. These are the girls who get pregnant at 16 and have their boyfriend leave them afterward. I'm 17 and know a few girls at my school like this. As for me, I like to be covered up. I don't need my skin on display for all the guys to stare at. I want them to look at ME not my body.
Also, society seems to have forced girls to grow up faster. All the shows on tv and what not, it's crazy! But I'm not falling for that trap. I'm too smart for that.

Blame the parents. Have a little control over your children and instill decency in their values to at least some degree.

They turning that way cause the parents aren't giving them any other direction. They need to be 100% involved in everything they do.

Maybe it is those awful Bratz dolls. Barbie caused a generation of airheads, perhaps Bratz is creating a generation of tramps?
