Did you notice that Alonso is faster than Hamilton for 0.299 seconds when they are driving the same car???

it's swings and roundabouts when timing different drivers in the same car. wind, 1mm off the driving line etc.

Races aren't won with one fast lap, and championships aren't won just by winning races. And times can be affected by many shall things. Maybe one driver had traffic, and the other had a clear track just in time for his tyres' "golden lap." Even when he didn't win, Hamilton still got valuable championship points - which is why he's still ahead of Alonso. If it was all about the fastest lap, then the race would be over on Saturday afternoon - right after qualifying.
