Bad trade. For Alexander you should be able to get a Brees or someone of that Caliber. Portis will hopefully give you 6 good games. He's too fragile

Ouch. You could have gotten more for Shaun Alexander than that. You were to desperate, you should have offered him a counter deal to get more out of him. Portis is a great back and is a stud when healthy, but he has had knee tendinitis all this offseason. If QB was an issue then you could have gotten Drew Brees, Tom Brady, or Carson Palmer in exchange for Alexander. While I really like Cutler he is only worth being a backup QB in fantasy at the moment. In my opinion you gave up too much and didn't get enough in return.

Good Afternoon,

No way! Alexander is clearly better than Portis and Portis is pretty banged up. Losman is a very good quarterback who started coming into his own last year and should keep on improving with Lee Evans being a great #1 WR. Cutler should do very well at QB but might not do much better if better at all than Losman. Portis is really hard to trade for given his injury status.
I hope that this helps.

Good luck!

Wow...that was a bad bad move.
Clinton Portis is not going to do anything this year. He will be lucky to be starting by the end of the season. Ladell Betts will be splitting his carries and will eventually take the bulk.
Jay Cutler isn't bad but is still unproven. You are struggling in the QB department but should have tried pulling a better trade than that. I'm sure someone would have unloaded a QB for Alexander.
Sorry but I think you took the bait and this guy caught a big one.

Not overly thrilled by this trade.

Alexander remains a top-tier RB even with last year's injury (he returns and the Seattle offense becomes feared once again). Portis seems to be one injury away from being cut from the team and handing the reins to Ladell Betts. Cutler should be decent, but let's see how this season unfolds.

The QB quality for Alexander should have been higher for trade consideration in my opinion.

I dont like this trade either..Portis is on his way out and losing carries to Betts...CUtler is a definite upgrade at QB but I think Alexander is going back to his form when they were in the superbowl...

The average fantasy player would say your nuts.I am going to tell you good move! You certainly needed a QB and I think Portis and Alexander are going to put up equal numbers. Now do yourself a favor and drop Quinn.

So basically you gave away your best player for nothing. Bad move bro. Running Backs score you the points. Jay Cutler isn't going to do you any good

No way. If you could get either Peyton or Drew I would do it. Hes a top 3 RB and you should get more than that for him.
