Absolutely he would. He is for the people of this country and the powers that be can not have that.

He wouldn't last a year. Great man....great ideas....but he doesn't go with the thinking of the elitist that run this country.

I have always been an active voter and try to get involved in issues that are important to society. Back in August, I was doing my research on-line for McCain, Clinton, Obama, and Paul to see what they supported, voted for, their ideas, etc. Ron Paul was the only one I agreed with 100%! Then I saw Aaron Russo's documentry on the IRS and the small but gradual steps the government is taking to turn America into a police state and it was certainly very disturbing. I researched further and came to the conclusion that Ron Paul is the only candidate who wants to reinstate America as an independent, freedom-loving country and abolish the Patriot Act, change the tax system so it actually benefits regular Americans (not politicians), stop sending jobs overseas, enforce laws to prevent illegal immigration, bring back the value of our dollar by stopping inflation, end the war, etc. From that point on, I was a Ron Paul supporter all the way. Then I saw Fox, CNN, ABC, and any other news channel covering the debate try to discredit Ron Paul and ignore him. That made me an even stronger supporter!! It is a known fact that the media is censored by the government. The fact that they obviously didn't want me or anyone else seeing Ron Paul have a distiguished and fair debate really made me curious as to what they are hiding...If Ron Paul was really a "nutjob" why wouldn't they just let him discredit himself? Think about it

I wrote a letter to Ron Paul stating that although he does not have a chance at the nomination, his message is extremely important and all Americans need to hear it, and that he should run for as long as he can.

This seems to be what he is doing, as he is spending as little money as possible.

The Republican Machine doesn't seem to be resorting to assassinations anymore. Paul is a Republican but he is clearly an outsider and not a part of the machine. I think it's most likely that Republicans will just simply ignore Ron Paul as much as possible. If they try to attack him, he will get more press, and that's the opposite of what they want.

The Republican Machine views Clinton as the Democrat that they can defeat, and they've been setting her up to run for around five years now. Hillary is being set up masterfully so that she will win the nomination but very probably lose the Presidential election.

I'm glad you brought that up.

There is a risk that the powers-that-be will take 'extreme measures'. But the difference is that JFK did not have the kind of background that Ron Paul does. The supporters know what Ron Paul stands for, and Ron Paul had spoken loudly against the FRB and the IRS and the NWO and the NAU. JFK didn't initially do that - he did it later on in his term, and JFK had the Castro assasination attempt on his hands, so it was hard to pinpoint the blame.

If the powers-that-be try to do something that extreme, it would be too obvious with Ron Paul. Not to say they won't, but it would be very suspicious.

They will wait until he is office. I believe Ron Paul to be the best choice for America. He is the only experienced candidate that isn't part of the CFR (Council on Foreign Relations). This organization is big business, big money and controls most media outlets. Instead do a search about them. To me it seems like they want to take our ever decreasing constitutional rights away and put in a dictator/puppet of their choice. Eventually they want a one world govt, controlled by them of course. America's military is their policy making attack dog, hence some of the past wars and current war, our lives = their profit. If he is not elected we may become the North American Union instead of the USA, have a big *** highway run through the country, and instead of the US dollar the Amero. There may be more consequences/theories but I'm too lazy to type. So don't take my word for it, do your own research. You can check his campaign website for his stance on issues. Also check out youtube for other info. CFR the real terrorist is a threat to our national security. Vote wisely. Good Luck

I do fear the possibility. I am also suspicious that the original purpose of the Secret Service was not to protect the president but to investigate money counterfeiting cases [1]. I would be surprised if any individual agents were anything but sincere in their desire to protect the president. However, I'm just conspiracy-minded enough to believe that the heads of the Secret Service could be committed to keeping the president under control of the bankers.

My far out suspicions (and I DO know they're far out) aside, is it too much to believe that a person could be in danger for challenging powerful interests [2]? I don't think so.

addendum: politechaos, how on earth can you call Ron Paul pro-war??? He is running on a platform that includes bringing the troops home immediately!

You can already see that Ron Paul is getting the thumbs down from the corporate controlled media.
I doubt that anyone who doesn't use these political forums hardly hear anything about Ron Paul. Good question.

Edit: Anybody who is a registered republican needs to get out and vote in the primaries to get him nominated. Thank God I never changed my registration because I plan to have my voice heard.

Ron Paul is so different from JFK that this question's a little iffy in my book. A president hasn't been assassinated in a long time, so I doubt he would be even if he was similar. However, the policies each advocates are on nearly opposite sides of the spectrum. I've never viewed Ron Paul as liberal, and his policies that he's posted on his website don't speak as such. JFK was seen as a liberal president who had a strong stance against the Soviet Union, though he was adamantly against war. They're in different times with different ideas.

No Fear.

Polite Chaos - Ron Paul opposed the war from the very beginning. Check out his voting record. That's one of the things that so many people like about him. It's called honesty and conviction.

Kelli - You mean.... Hillary is posing a threat of assassination to somebody?

Nope. That issue has already been addressed. the people have "friends". The sooner they figure this out, the better it will become. Quit living in fear and get him elected will ya? Times are going to get real tough, but it will get better. Just make the right decision this time and vote the man in. Don't be scared.
