Help!!! Type error object expected?

pls help me - when I log into my yahoo I keep getting this message. I have looked for help on the internet but it is all complicated. Please can someone help me fix this but using "Laymans" terms ( I am not a website deisgner or neither do I understand source codes etc) Plain and simple English will do...thanks

My Yahoo page is fine and then I log into Yahoo and it is all over the place with little blue blocks everywhere (everything is to the left and doesn't look like it normally does)

and the font is also different and things are all over the place. From what I can figure out it is a Java script error (have no idea what this means) but that is just a guess. I have te re-submit my question because the "edit" function is not available on the messed up page. It is driving me mad!!

Do you have this on every site you visit? (try Google, hotmail, Ebay and some other big sites)
If yes, the problem is on your machine and on your explorer.
You first trial is to do a "system restore" to a date your system was working fine.
If this does not solve the problem:
Download another explorer (i.e. firefox) and try that.
If this still does not work, you have a much more serious problem: we need more details.
