Just stamp it return to sender if they did not leave a forwarding address. It is a federal crime to tamper with someone else's mail. This includes opening it or throwing it away. Although...if they are not among the living, then who would you send it too?

By law, if you get a package that you didnt order, you either have to send it back or (if it has YOUR name on it) you can hold it (without opening it) for i think 30 days and then you can legally claim it without ever having to pay anything for it.

If it wasn't addressed to you, give it back to the postman or mark it "Not at this address" and put it in a mailbox. While you may enjoy this "gift", what do you do if it is an illegal product and you get caught with it?
