Are you lonely deep down? What will make you not lonely?

Just how lonely are you? 10 being the most and 0 not at all. And why? What are you missing that's makine you lonely?

Grendel: You're absolutely right on! We're always alone cuz our thoughts are always within ourselves. So in essence for all you lonelies we are all alone even if you have millions of friends around you. We came into this world alone and will die alone as well.
Kelli: Thanks for that tip. I will use it someday when I get kids.

Consumed: You need to relax and find joy in your life. Life is pretty much what you make of it. So go out and find a hobby and appriate that you're alive with good health. Look at some of the poor handicaps, they will give everything to have your health. Go volunteer at a hospital or old folks home and you'll see what you got.

I am very lonely. I had been away from home since the past five years. And i had been in three relationships in the past 8 years. For some reason, they guys will have to go to a distant land soon as we are committed in a relationship. Even now, i am staying in hostel, alone and my lover is in a different country, thousands of miles apart. Its very difficult to keep in touch and to communicate. The difference in time zone and hectic life doesnt let us to communicate much. I am not allowed to keep a pet in the hostel. My friends have finished studies because they took a shorter course and left the campus. Christ im very lonely. Say 9 1/2.
What will make me not lonely is his presence or my goin back to my home where my family is. Both of which doesnt happen because of our education.

I'd say about a 3 or a 4. What I miss is that moment when you truly connect soul to soul with another person, but I'm never truly alone (God), and I have much in the way of friends and family, so there is always someone to turn to if I need company.

I've got my daughter so I'm no longer a 10 on the lonely scale. I'm lonely most of the time, but its a different kind of lonely. So I'd make it an 5. I haven't found my partner yet.

I am lonely because I rely too much on what other people think. I was raised in a co-dependant relationship with my mom. She needed to be needed. I am working on loving myself.

Do your kids a favor. When they do something great, ask them if they are proud of themselves before telling them you are proud of them. It really works.

That's the way I'm raising my kids. They have a great self esteem. They are doing so much better than I ever imagined.

I would say a 2. Luckily,I have a wide circle of family and friends,but my mom and other important people in my life are getting older,along with myself,and are nearing that "Danger Zone".Hey,life is a crapshoot,and you have to hope to keep winning.

Not at all; i have a good family. But we're all ultimately alone with God,or inside if you don't believe in God. No one can read your thoughts or enjoy your memories. We are all isolated inside our heads in that ultimate sense.

3 usually i'm home alone when my parents are at work but having people to talking to on Aim is comforting
