We are in the midst of a lock down here in Louisiana because we have a rapist hiding out in one of the fema trailers in our RV park. I physically saw this man 2 days ago and the look he gave me would make your skin crawl. I had no idea he was a fugitive.
Apparently he abducted a woman from this RV park and held her at bay for several days, raping her over and over.
We are also aware that there is another man who has escaped police custody and is hiding out in here as well.
Our guns were damaged when our home flooded several years ago in Texas during tropical storm Alyson. Our home went under water in about 45 minutes. There was no fema, there was no government assistance. We are red blooded Americans and can fend for ourselves.
We came to Louisiana to help with the rebuilding after Katrina.
We have our RV in a park with about 500 fema trailers. The rent is 500.00 a month, and to the best of my knowledge we are the only ones paying that, the goverment is paying the

for everyone else's rent. They are drunk three times a day. Passed out by noon, then again around 3 or 4, then once again in the evening. I just thought you might like to know where and what your hard earned money is paying for

SnowWhite, you are a very intelligent young lady. I am from Texas and we usually do have a gun.
It was on the news yesterday, but I haven't heard a word all day. I'm sure that they are still looking for these two.
Last week someone knocked on the office door here in the RV park. When the young lady answered the door, he attacked her and beat her bad. She has a concusion, a neck injury and a huge black eye. He was after the keys to the coke machine so he could steal the quarters out of it. I don't think they caught him either.
The people here in Louisiana haven't worked in over 300 years and their nit going to start tomorrow.
I have had it here with all the crime, shootings every day
I am waiting for a check so that we can get out of here!!!

skezcu, that is unbelievable. I understand what you are going thru. And yes, you are the original American native. If I were you, I would consider relocating. I am unsure what tribe you originate from. But I do know that there are some beautiful areas in this country that would befit for someone as beautiful as you:~) Take Care

I hope you are safe and sound and making plans to get out of the RV park in Louisiana. Get yourself back to Texas! That is not a safe place to live.
Yes, we have guns in our home and we would use them if we had to protect ourselves. My husband has a concealed carry license too. We both grew up in a small Texas town and have known how to handle guns since we were kids. I would call the police for help in a life-threatening situation but I'd have my gun ready too.

No I don't. My home was broken into in 1981, I woke up not realizing someone was in the house. I was beaten, stabbed and abducted. Aside from the stab wounds, I also had a fractured neck in two places.
My children were young and I was afraid to have a gun in the house.
The only thing I have is a phone to call 911 and pepper spray.
I wish I could be more help to you, I think it is a personal choice that you have to make.

Reading this sent chills up my spine....I cant believe you are going thru this, well actually yes, I do believe it. But I am sorry for you, and I feel so bad for the lady that was raped over and over. Why hasnt this made news yet? Why am I barely hearing about this? Where are you from that you're over there helping Katrina victims? And yes, if I had a gun and was able to lend it to you for protection, I would. I cant imagine what that lady was thinking. I cant believe that SOME of the victims continue to use and abuse our system and take the rest of us for advantage. We try to help them and this is how they repay us...and yet we steadily pay for them to kill, blow our tax dollars on strip joints, and throw big *** crawfish parties. Im sick of it. And Im so sick and tired of hearing how they are the victims and nobody wants to lend a helping hand. "F" that...you're out there helping and yet still have your life at stake....But, no, theyre the victims. Ugh!!!

My gun doesn't leave my side, unless it is in a government building or other place designated as anti conceal carry. If I was not willing to use the damn thing, I would have never bought it. I will never be a victim of a violent crime, my Glock 23 and 15 Speer Hollow Points ensure that.

sounds like you're getting ripped off, i can get an apartment outside of New York city for 500$, and this is one of the most expensive places to live, I thought it was cheap to live down south, maybe you should look for a better place. I don't keep any weapons around at the moment, there were times i kept a small baseball bat or knife under or near my bed.

It may not be ratified through the Senate. Even if it had been, the Constitution takes priority over treaties. A treaty are not able to be viewed legislation on this country, it most effective will get approval from one House in Congress. Laws ought to be accredited through each Houses.

The Government cant protect you at all. They protect the criminal more than law abiding citizens. Thats what happen when we have a police state. I always tell people if someone tries to rob me they better kill me quick before i use my most deadliest weapons which are my own to hands. We Americans need guns to protect us from crooks.
Crooks= Government, robbers, rapist...etc....

wow. thats sucks. sorry to hear that. i am in a semi similar situation here on the az/mex border. i am native american and my reservation borders mexico. there is so much drug and illegal alien traffic that i cannot go for a simple walk alone. there are men in the desert (basically our backyards) smoking crack to be able to walk the distance, there are people trucking through the desert hauling pounds of drugs (most of them armed)...right through my neighborhood. i am the definition of a RED blooded native American woman..who is held hostage by the state of affairs on my own land that our sorry weak president cares nothing about. its dangerous out here. its not the same home i grew up in anymore..some of these men carry weapons and are very unpredictable. one time i tried to go for a run and got chased by a man..thank god i was near home..and keep in mind this is a very remote area without 'witnesses' or 'passersby'.. the situation is pretty sad. we dont deserve the flood of extra violence and invasion going on

I have access to a weapon and am very skilled and trained on using it! I would not hesitate if my life or my family/friends lives were at stake, If some one just broke in to steal stuff and was un armed I would take my good old wooden Montreal hockey stick to them, it would at least slow em down!
