I do. The skyline just isn't the same.

Do you think the twin towers should be rebuilt or the Freedom Tower should be built?

I think we should rebuild it and write "F*ck you, Al Queda" on the top in big letters.

I live in New Jersey and have a clear view of the New York city skyline. Yes, I miss the twin towers and the sad thing is I can't even remember the exact spot they were standing in. I would like something built in the exact same spot, preferably towers that look like the originals

It definitely is not the same. I remember standing at a bus stop in Chinatown a couple of years ago, looking over at how open the skyline was by the WTC. And having a feeling of emptiness wash over me.

I think the decision for the towers' construction should be left to the New Yorkers. It's their city.

I hate the Freedom Tower design. Even though the original twin towers weren't as aesthetically pleasing as, say, the Empire State Building or the Chrysler Building, I still miss them. I wish they'd put up some sort of twin towers, if not an exact duplicate of what was there, at least something that has two matching structures.

Everything changes over time. It may be the feeling one has in losing a good friend in death. That "something" will never be the same without them feeling. I'm not a New Yorker by the way.

The manner in which the change occurred is probably the root of the "missing" feeling. If someone you care for gets married and moves away, that is one type of loss. If that person were to be killed in some tragedy, the feeling of loss is magnified 1000 fold.

I havent been to New York since Sept 2001. Right before Sept 11.I know that it would be weird for me not to see it. I remember driving on Route 22 in New Jersey and my boyfriend telling me right after we pass this bridge look up and I looked and it was the Twin Towers. I knew you can see them when you were driving into New York but I had never seen them from that location in New Jersey. All you can see was the very top of them. I was 15 at that time. After that everytime I would drive that way I would look for it. IT just seems weird that if I was to go again I would not see them!

I think New Yorkers should have the right to vote on this and decide for themselves what they want.
