To me, having the mormon president would be the "worst case".

Harry Reid is mormon, are you afraid of him too? probably not because of his viewpoints and not his religion. You people that think Romney being mormon is such a big deal, have you looked at his voting records in the past???? He most definetly is not in step with how the majority of mormons or the leadership of the church would probably vote on several issues. He has a consistent record of voting with his constituents even if it conflicts with his personal preferences and is more of a states rights guy then have the fed gvt step in to dictate how to live our lives.
So instead of the bigoted comments of how a mormon president is going to have salt lake city control the whitehouse, take a look at the guys actually stance on the issues. It might just be a better informed response to the man.

When deciding a president one should consider his/her qualifications, not the president's sex, religion, or race. This is America, not Nazi Germany. People who are thinking this way are not really thinking in the best interest of the country.
How can any of the above be any worse than some of the presidents we have had in the fast.
I lived in Michigan when George Romney. He was a close relative of Mitt (sorry to demonstrate MY stupidity because I don't remember the relationship). G. Romney was also a Mormon and a decent governor. And Michigan has yet to turn into a second Utah.

In my opinion this presidential race maybethe worst of them all...The U.S has never had a woman president and doesn't deserve to have one.....We definitely don't need a black president....In all actuallity though..the mormon president would be the worst case scenario

yea a mormon president would be the worst case scenario in my opinion as well. I think it would be great to have a black or a woman president. I agree with Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton on all issues, I would vote for either one of them.

I think any president that is in a religeon that tries to CONVERT you and especially mormons (right next to the JW's) are just wack jobs!!! (personal experience)
Woman president....PLEASE!!!!! We have enough problems with respect. Hilary is also a loon. Maybe black is ok, but Obama??? That idiot has no ******* experience and i think is just too young. I have not liked anything he has said.
Personally I am one that actually checks out ALL the candidates and issues. I'm not a college idiot that votes rep, or dem, just because thats what i registered as. Its not a damn trend people, its our nation we are messing with.

i think it would be a big deal in the sense that it would pave the way for other candidates of such traits for president. that being said, these traits are just like any other traits held by past presidents...just a part of who are you are. i mean you don't say 'that black man'...you say 'man who is black'. they are not defining characters but just a part of us....so will it have a great effect on the way things are run? i doubt it.

i don't think it would be bad neccessarily but it would be a big deal to the extent that it is the first time and the country is still got a little archie bunker on it's shoulder. you are a case in point assuming one must be a worse case.
